In 2011, Wooga saw its userbase grow by 185% – surging from 14 million in January 2011 to over 40 million users currently playing Wooga’s games every month. New games Diamond Dash and Magic Land launched on Facebook, with synchronized mobile versions following shortly after which enabled players players to connect across platforms, and in turn brought Wooga’s total to six Flash and two mobile games.

The 2011 European Games Award was given out yesterday evening in an official ceremony on the event ship Pure Liner in Cologne, Germany. 69 companies from 17 countries were nominated in 23 different categories. Winners were announced on the trip from Niehler Harbour along the Rhine. wooga beat out strong competition in two categories – as the best European publisher and with “Diamond Dash” as the best social game.
