Localization Manager

Wooga is Europe’s most successful social games developer and itself a truly international company with employees from more than 20 countries. Our games are played all around the globe and it is very important to us that they are available in the language of our players. As our Localization Manager you are responsbile for ensuring that all our localization is accurate and on time. You will work closely with our Customer Care team and be the expert and interface for our game teams, all in our Berlin office.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the translation of our games, emails, fan page posts, websites, FAQs.
• Work with team members to ensure correct, consistent and (most important) fun translations!
• Implement tools for translation.
• Build processes to support game teams in weekly iterations.
• Assure service quality for internal customers.
• Define and measure quality of translations.
• Support teams with content localization ideas, implement smaller localized game content.
• Make sure our games are culturally compatible around the world.

Your Qualifications

• 3-5 years of work experience in project management and team management within a localization or translation department.
• Previous experience as a translator is a plus.
• Knowledge of tools and processes in localization, e.g. SDL Trados etc.
• Passion for languages, their quirks, and national idiosyncrasies.
• Working knowledge of two languages. Perfect English is a must, plus French, German, Italian or Spanish.
• Must be very well organized and able to handle multiple projects and ad hoc requests simultaneously.
