User Interface Engineer (m/f)

Is your goal to create great games that make people smile? Join our Engineering team to work on a high-quality, intuitive User Interface for our games. This position is located in our Berlin office and reports to the CTO.

Your Profile

You are a skilled, experienced software engineer with a strong theoretical background and a passion for implementing great User Interfaces. Design Pattern, JavaScript (including frameworks like jQuery, Prototype, Scriptaculous), HTML5, iPhon/iPad, Action Script and/or Android are technologies you worked with or you at least have great interest in. You prefer an interactive approach of software development, where you develop a prototype quickly and then incorporate (user) feedback. This position offers a great chance for Engineers that are interested in new technologies to use them as soon as they appear.

Primary Responsibilities

• Build high-quality, intuitive user interfaces for our games
• Improve usability of existing games
• Quickly build prototypes from concepts and then incorporate (user) feedback
• Work closely with Software Engineers and Operations to build games
• Participate in design and code reviews

Required skills and experience

• Distinctive passion for high-quality, intuitive user interfaces
• Great understanding of the Internet, it’s technologies and possibilities
• Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code for UI components
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science or a related technical field
• Good knowledge of agile development principles
• Games experience a big plus
