June’s Journey brings the world of Agatha Christie to life with a new in-game mystery inspired by the author’s enduring legacy

BERLIN & LONDON, 18 FEBRUARY 2026 – Playtika’s Berlin-based studio Wooga® (wooga.com), the developer of the 1920s-set mystery mobile game June’s Journey®, today announced a special in-game mystery experience in partnership with Agatha Christie Limited (ACL). Inspired by the life and work of Agatha Christie, the collaboration launches to commemorate the 50th anniversary of her passing.

Often referred to as the Queen of Crime with sales of over 2 billion books worldwide, Agatha Christie is one of the most influential writers in literary history, shaping the detective genre and captivating generations of readers around the world. This new experience celebrates her cultural legacy by bringing the spirit of classic Christie mysteries into the world of June’s Journey, a game centred on uncovering secrets through careful observation, deduction and storytelling.

Starting this April and for a duration of three months, the experience unites two celebrated detectives as Christie’s Hercule Poirot® teams up with the titular heroine June Parker in a narrative-driven mystery. Players will solve elegant puzzles alongside a most iconic detective duo, advancing their deductive skills as they learn from both June and Poirot® while unraveling a new mystery based on Christie’s timeless novels such as Murder on the Orient Express®, Death on the Nile® and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

Players will seek clues across classic scenes inspired by Agatha Christie’s world, traveling to iconic destinations in brand new stories including an early era mystery that first established her reputation, alongside a journey down memory lane through images of her most iconic locations. The experience aims to evoke fond memories of reading a first detective novel while delivering the same cosy mystery atmosphere in an interactive format designed for modern audiences.

The collaboration highlights the natural creative connection between June’s Journey and Agatha Christie’s work. Both are rooted in the golden age of detective fiction, with Christie writing some of her most famous novels during the 1920s, the same era in which June’s Journey is set. Both worlds celebrate the intellectual satisfaction of solving mysteries, piecing together clues and immersing players and readers alike in richly detailed settings.

The event also reflects the enduring importance of women in mystery storytelling. June's Journey features a female protagonist and the hit game is played predominantly by women, with 90% of players identifying as female - a demographic traditionally overlooked by the gaming industry. This mirrors Agatha Christie's own legacy as the most successful female author of all time, whose work has inspired countless others.
